kelly gering

Founder Kelly Gering, believes in the power of difference. Rooted in the understanding that vulnerability and dialogue can transform individuals, families, organizations, and the world, she created shared story.

Kelly holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy & Sociology from Lake Forest College, and a Master of Arts degree in Conflict Resolution from Antioch University McGregor. Certified in basic, family, and specialized alternative dispute resolution mediation training with a concentration in high conflict scenarios, Kelly believes that at the core, we all yearn to be heard and understood by the other.

Kelly serves on the Nebraska Judicial Branch’s Office of Dispute Resolution panel as a family mediator and on the board of the Nebraska Mediation Association as the chair of the Continuing Mediator Education Committee.

Complementing her private practice, Kelly serves as special faculty in the Negotiation and Conflict Resolution master's program at Creighton University teaching dynamics of conflict, facilitative conflict engagement, family conflict and mediation courses to graduate students.

An avid runner, podcast listener, writer, prayer, and believer in the good…when Kelly’s not mediating other people’s conflicts, she’s navigating her own…with her husband and three children.
